What inspired you to choose ophthalmology?

I was fascinated by the amount of surgical skill required to treat eye diseases, especially retinal diseases. The day I saw the retina through my 20D lens after post-graduation, I fell in love with it. The complexity and beauty of the surgeries drew me to this highly competitive field of retinal surgery.

I am passionate about helping my patients to preserve their vision and live their lives to the fullest. I am excited to be a part of this rapidly evolving field and to contribute to the development of new and innovative treatments for retinal diseases

What is the work that you want to dedicate yourself to?

I want to do a lot of work on diabetic retinopathy and have been working on a project called 'Eyebetes' i.e the effect of diabetes on eyes. I am working on educating patients and physicians alike to this dreaded condition. I want to do a lot to bring light to those who are suffering from it and want to prevent it from developing in those who are having diabetes.

Ultimately, my goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of my patients and to help them live their lives to the fullest. I believe that this is the best way to dedicate myself to my work.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

In your leisure time, i enjoy sports (such as badminton and cricket), traveling, and painting. This is a great balance of activities that keep you active, engaged, and creative.

Sports are a great way to stay fit and healthy, and they can also be a lot of fun. Badminton and cricket are both popular sports around the world, and they offer a great way to get exercise and socialize with others.

Traveling is a great way to learn about new cultures and see new places. It can also be a great way to relax and de-stress.

Painting is a creative outlet that can be both enjoyable and relaxing. It can also be a great way to express yourself and explore your imagination
