3. More Frequent Exams for Certain Patients: In some cases, diabetic patients may need more frequent eye exams based on their individual risk factors and the presence of diabetes-related complications. For example:

• Pregnant women with diabetes should have a comprehensive eye exam in the first trimester and then as recommended by their eye care provider during pregnancy and postpartum.

• Patients with signs of diabetic retinopathy or other eye complications may require more frequent monitoring, as determined by their eye care provider.

4. Follow-Up Care: Depending on the results of the eye exams, diabetic patients may require follow-up care or treatment to manage any identified eye conditions. This may include laser treatment, injections, or surgery to prevent or slow the progression of diabetic eye complications and preserve vision.

It's important for diabetic patients to work closely with their eye care provider to establish an appropriate eye check-up schedule based on their individual needs, diabetes management, and overall health.
